Finishing off Melodic Metal Week on DARK Radio, Im cheating and offering up a two-for-one. :-D Dark Sarah is so new, the band is just a baby. Singer-songwriter Heidi something-Finnish-I-cant-remember-how-to-spell has fronted a band previously (Amberian Dawn). Now shes heading up Dark Sarah with a vision: taking melodic/symphonic metal to the next level, something she calls cinematic metal. The groups first album is now out, titled Beyond the Black Veil. I debated which track to post as an introduction to Dark Sarah. Save Me seems overall closer to the cinematic metal bullseye that Heidi is aiming to hit. But Ive finally decided to go with Hunting the Dreamer, which is more of a power metal base seasoned with the new cinematic metal stuff. Its a gentler transition for metalheads to make, like starting with the kiddy pool and working up to the deep end.
