Finishing up my 5th dose of chemo. The last couple weeks have been difficult, physically and emotionally. I have developed a pretty serious radiation burn to my bladder and I feel like I am on fire all the time. I picture those moves like Lord of the Rings where the armies have vats of boiling hot oil that they use as a weapon. I feel like my bladder is a little vat of boiling hot oil. So that is not fun. Any amount of movement is excruciatingly painful, so I have not been able to be a good and attentive mom and wife and I have been feeling pretty terribly guilty about that. I dont want to move at all, so that pretty much eliminates most things that need to be done around the house. On the up side, I have been receiving very insightful prayer, and I am encouraged by that. My faith is increasing, and I am believing more every day that God will bring us through this. Also today when I went to radiation I was happily surprised when they said they are making a new block (a lead block that shields the parts that dont need to be irradiated) that will shield my bladder, so that is good news. Thanks for all your continued prayers and support. I feel loved and supported by all of you and that helps a lot.
