Finn Update = Finn went to school for the first time yesterday - we were unsure what hed do with lots of traffic, lots of dogs and lots of people all in the same place. To be fair - it was all a test. We were 100% ready to remove him from the situation if it was too much for him. We arrived and walked down a very busy A road - not a problem. We walked through screaming trick or treaters and crowds of people - he barely looked. We met the class at the door with a couple of dogs trying to get to him very excitedly - Finn stuck close, tail clamped down. Once inside he chilled out immediately and made friends with all humans and dogs alike. We showed off our awesome loose lead walk and our sit and wait. Then the trainer asked for us to put our dogs into a down, wed done 2 five minute sessions at home and hed never really got it, so I said itd be hit or miss - but I asked and he dropped straight into a down stay - textbook style. The trainer said we mustve been lying ;) Here is his last down training session before we went to school yesterday. Today Finn is going into a busy market town, and into our fave pet shop, as another test (weve built it all up and have exit plans dont worry!).
