Fire---today went to fire department and learned something I didnt know. Please teach your kids, when they wake up to a home fire alarm, to simply roll over and down to the floor. Poison is making its way lower and lower in the room. The FD talked about people who sat up in bed when it went off, and just died because they sat up into the bad air and breathed in poison and burned the inside of their lungs because the heat and poison had already gotten that low in the room. Theyve got 2 minutes at the outside! The chief said PRACTICE it with your kids. Dont sit up....roll over in bed and down onto the floor.
