Size 150 acres estimated. Containment 0%; no date for expected containment. Fuel Aspen, Douglas fir, bristlecone pine, Engelmann spruce Fire behavior Moderate with short periods of higher activity Structures None threatened Closures Temporary area closure from North Decker Creek southeast to Nieland Creek including FSR 980 and 982. Cause Lightning. Personnel 20-person hotshot crew; 20-person Type 2 hand crew; light helicopter Comments There is currently increased activity on the Ox Cart Fire. The fire is spreading primarily in a northerly direction. The Ox Cart Fire has reached one of the management action points. A 20-person hotshot crew, 20-perosn Type 2 hand crew and light helicopter is on scene. The firefighters are constructing indirect line north of the fire.
