Fire Warrior Dance Traditional war dances originated in the Polynesian Islands in the South Pacific. They are a dance of intimidation and promote aggression against an opponent in battle. Today, these dances are most commonly seen on the fields of Rugby and Football Leagues around the world before the start of a game. This particular dance is from the Island of Tonga. I was asked to teach my fellow cadets this dance to raise our energy levels and create a team environment. The words were modified specifically for our Fire Academy 80 and for the Fire Service. I believe this dance holds great power when performed and brings out your inner warrior spirit. Cadet Joseph Manuatu Crafton Hills College Fire Academy #80
