FireFighters and Cops ask you to vote no on Prop 487. Proposition 487 is a false pension reform Iniative being pushed by dark money groups from out of state. These fats cats claim that it wont hurt FireFighters and Cops. That is not true. the truth is Line of Duty Death Benefits will immediately be halted if 487 passes. Spouses and children of those killed or injured in the line of duty will have No income and no way to support themselves if their loved one is killed or injured serving the public. Arizona firefighters and cops are Not eligible for social security. Their only source of retirement security is their PSPRS pension that they have paid into their entire careers. If 487 passes all active firefighters with less than 20 years of service and all future firefighters and cops will receive no pension from either the State or the city leaving them destitute in their golden years. It will cost a minimum of $358 million dollars to implement 487. Also, the $600 million in savings that will be saved by voter approved pension reform just last year will be wiped out completely. If 487 passes firefighters and cops will be forced to work longer to ensure a secure retirement. FireFighters and Cops in their seventies attempting to chase down bad guys and kick in doors in burning buildings will be commonplace. For the Families of FireFighters and Police, taxpayers, and yourselves please vote No on 487
