First Consultation of Asian govts, NGOS and related stakeholders from Private Sector and others on accounability of commitments being made under post 2015 framework, ended up here at Bangkok with this announcent that more deep and comprehensive discussions/ consultations are required at national and sub regional level to formulate people led monitoring and accountability mechanisms. I handed over the Leave No One Behind campaing song and Pakistan MDSs status report to Ms. Amina Mohammed, Special Advisor to UN SG on post 2015. Ms. Maryam Aurangzeb , Chairperson of the Special Task Force on SDG s was the official delegate on behalf of Pakistan however she did not turned up and none of the Pakistani officials based at UNESCAP attended this important event. This clearly describes our governments seriousness towards MDSs and accountability issues. Pakistan is far behind in adherering the commitments made under MDGs. Let us join hands to push our governments to follow good governance practices to make sure accountability at all levels
