(First Draft) PAIN by Jeff Wright Verse 1: There’s a fine line between pain and insanity Wounds so deep that you bleed out humanity I cling to what’s left of my will to live But suffering takes more than I’m able to give Your Words cut deep in my heart like a dagger I’ve lost so much blood that I’ve begun to stagger All that I’ve cared about has been stripped away Accidents unforgiven leave a bill I can’t pay Chorus: Is there rest for the weary and lonely of heart? Peace from the destruction of a life torn apart? Is there any hope there’s an end to this pain? Every memory pushes harder to drive me insane Verse 2: Unsure of what evil crime that I’ve committed Unforgiven mistakes, now I’m doomed to be resented No more compassion will be extended my way Disappointments have built walls that are now here to stay Life is filled with pain with moments of forgetting Every action brings nothing but a chance for regretting Why must I endure this pain and feel defiled? The answers I have exist in the eyes of a child Chorus: Is there rest for the weary and lonely of heart? Peace from the destruction of a life torn apart? Is there any hope there’s an end to this pain? Every memory pushes harder to drive me insane **2014 Not Wright Music
