First-Ever Public Chanukah Menorah Lighting in Belmont Shore Set For Sunday, December 1 at 4 p.m. on 2nd Street Belmont Shore, Calif. - The Shul by the Shore in Long Beach, California will hold the first-ever public Chanukah Menorah Candle Lighting in Belmont Shore on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at 4 p.m. outside Citibank at 5354 East 2nd St. This is the first public menorah lighting ever on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore - and were elated to be the first ones to do it and to put this special event together with the help and support of the Shul by the Shore, its members, Citibank, and the Belmont Shore business community, says Rabbi Abba Perelmuter of The Shul by the Shore. The event, which is called Fire and Ice Extravaganza, is co-sponsored by the Belmont Shore Business Association.
