First Happy New Years! Here is some ideas in thought about in the last couple days and i thought i would share. Lessons of Humanity Everyone agrees we are in a big crossroads reevaluating and contemplating how our country and the world have ended up in such disarray. The ability to reexamine ones thoughts, values and relationships is a very valuable trait to have. Everyone thinks of changing the world. No one thinks of changing their selves. By looking within and doing the internal work needed to straighten out ones shortcomings, one will influence those around ones self into doing the same. This will spread like a virus but if the masses are stubborn and remains selfish the lessons in humanity are going to be very ugly like a drug addict that just wont listen, slowly slipping down the tubes. I think of the world consciousness is like a individuals consciousness. There are lessons for a individual to learn to have peace and harmony in their lives. Its different for each of us the lessons that are needed to be learned. If one refuses to learn and conquer the needed lesson then one will suffer immensely until the lesson is learned, suffering from loss of happiness and maybe even dying. This is similar to the lesson of all humanity. Not just the US but the whole world. We all affect one another on the planet and thats one big lesson that is not being accepted by clinging to selfish behaviors. Trying to fill happiness with material gain is never going to happen cause your always waiting for happiness through ones next purchase or gain. Achieving happiness through materialism is a false idea. Materialism gives comfort but not contentment The things we own end up owning us. Its not til we dont care about possessions will one be free to do as one pleases. Overvaluing possessions is comparable to a invisible prison and many of the younger generation already have this figured out. I havent gave away everything nor do i feel i have to. I will help without hestitation a drug addict or a homeless man get back on his feet if he is willing for a transformation. I will give my time and not expect to be paid around every corner. Doing kind acts has given me more happiness than any material gain ive had. I had to reprioritize my values which is whats needed on the planet. Value what others see in you instead of what you have in the bank or what you drive. Look within and not around. Its almost like relearning how to see.
