First,I am personally address the IDF commanders, soldiers, the families of the fallen, who lost their dear ones in Operation Tzuk-Eitan-Solid Rock-Protective edge,, the wounded, recovering in the hospital, the residents of the communities near Gaza Strip, the residents of the Negev and Dan Regional Council, Jerusalem and the lowland and all of the citizens of Israel. I want to bless you, thank you for your firm stand, in an unprecedented unity that the citizens and the soldiers of Israel have showed, demonstrated throughout the last few weeks. I want you to know that the utmost responsibility for your safety and security is on me, as the prime minister. My concern is for the peace and security of all the citizens of Israel. Also, the boys we sent to the front as we well as the families that remained strong determined in the home front. Our goal is that the residents of Kerem Shalom, Sderot, and the rest of the communities around Gaza, Ashkelon, Tel Aviv, will go to sleep (at night) in peace, that the children of Ofakim, Netivot, Ashdod, Be’er Sheva, will not have to run to the protected areas in the schools. Together with my colleagues at the top, the minister of defense, Boogie Ya’alon and the Chief of the General Staff, Bennie Gantz, who is at the moment attending a memorial service for the IDF soldiers, we are taking all measures in order to complete the battle in order to achieve our objectives, the return of the quiet and security to all of you. We are doing that with full cooperation, discretion, responsibility and determination and we will continue doing so until we achieved the goal. Only one consideration stands in front of me that is the best for the State of Israel. This consideration is the only one that guides me in making my decisions. I know this also applies to the minister of defense and the Chief of the General Staff. Nothing else, not militancy, not from the Left or the Right and I condemn any militancy and no other interest, only the responsibility for the peace and security of all the citizens of Israel. According to that I will continue, with determination, to act with responsibility and consideration. Operation Tzuk-Eitan-Solid Rock-Protective Edge has not ended, even not for a moment. We are speaking here about an ongoing battle. I do not speak only about the last few weeks. Our battle against the terror organizations is a global long battle that has been going on for many years against Hezbollah, el-Qaeda, the Islamic Jihad, the Hamas in Gaza, that is part of the Islamic terror network and recently joined by the murderous terror gang DAESH operating in Iraq and Syria and is touching Lebanon. In the past few weeks we hit Hamas the hardest, terrible way in the battlefield and systems that the Hamas built to harm us were cleared. First of all we prevented, with the Iron Dome, a hit by thousands of rockets on our communities; we killed many hundreds of terrorists, we destroyed thousands of rockets and launchers and we dismantled the offensive tunnel system that the Hamas built over the years in order to parallel harm us in our communities and we foiled all their attempts to hit us from sea, air and land. That is the most and the hardest hit that the Hams took since it was established. And I remind you that we dismantled its capability in Judea and Samaria and its attempts to cause a coup. All that we did before and throughout the Operation. Really a hard hit at the Hamas. We are determined to continue the battle with all the means and as necessary. We will not stop until we can secure full security and quite life to the residents of the south and all the citizens of Israel. The Hams thinks it will exhaust us and they are wrong. The people of Israel are strong and for attrition the Hams will get chopping (destruction). Destruction of its infrastructure, its terrorist, its commanders. Our policy toward the Hamas is simple, they will shoot they will get it; put it simple, they will get seven times as much. And if the Hamas does not understand it now, then they will understand it tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow because in the Middle East not only military power is needed but also staying power is needed and patience. My grandfather arrived to the land of Israel in 1920. He landed here in Jaffa (Yafo). Few months after he immigrated to the land in the Jewish immigration office in Jaffa the rioters murdered Jews, also the area the famous author Yosef Haim Brenner. It was almost 100 years ago, 94 years ago. And since then we are fighting terror and with quite a success. In that time we built our state, we developed our cities, developed our economy, built a glorious military force; our spirit did not fall even not for one moment. On the contrary, it got stronger and became more unified in our unity. And we have to keep preserving our unity within ourselves and our courage and the ability of the home front and the nation to stand strong. All these are necessary components in our national strength, all these are the cornerstones on the road to achieve our goal that we have put in front of us, the return of the quiet and security and I add, along the most dramatic changes taking place in our region, not all negative, I add, also achieving new political horizons for the state of Israel.
