First Nations 8 Stephen Harper 0 in Supreme Court of Canada decisions. Todays SCOC decision will shape Canadian legislation for the next few decades as this decision now recognizes our inherent titles. I do however laugh at media when they report that the SCOC has granted aboriginal title in this decision. When did the Supreme Court of Canada gain the power to be granting something which was granted to us and can only be granted by the Creator when we were placed upon Turtle Island? They were forced to admit something we have been steadfastedly stating since first contact and ongoing molestation of our lives and lands! The other point I found interesting is they also recognized the nomadic lifestyle of our nations prior to the imposition of the concentration camps they call Indian Reservations. That will be interesting and fun to watch the colonial regimes struggle to create the right colonial legislations which will accomodate not only this decision, but other SCOC decisions in their duty to consult. Be advised that this decision DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE INDIGENOUS NATIONS HAVE VETO POWER OVER ANYTHING. Ozaway Pinesse
