First Service 20 / 10 / 2013 07:00 _ 09:00 Speaker: Bishop Mosa Sono Message: Children matter to God. # Mark 10:13-16 * Children become an example of how we should receive the Kingdom of God. * People who are going to function in the spiritual things, are people who are like children in Spirit. @ If you dont like children, you will not like the things of God, because the Kingdom of God operates on the principles of children, with pure hearts. # Matthew 19:13 * Have a church service that embraces children. @ Children matter to God and to Jesus and the Kingdom of God is filled with children. @ We must pray against the spirit of evil that is attacking children. @ If you dont try to understand about children, you dont understand what the kingdom of God is about. # Psalms 127:3 * Children are a blessing, so for that reason, you shouldnt bring children into the world if you are not going to take care of them. # Ephesians 6:4 Parents Responsibility Towards Your Children. 1. To provide for our children. # 1 timothy 5:8 How Do We Provide For Our Children. 1. Give Spiritual provision for our children. * Model good church habits for your children. 2. Learn to talk to your children. 3. Learn to Feel what they are feeling. 4. Social 5. Vocational. 6. Good moral habits. 7. Physical provision. 2. Protect our children. # Hebrews 11:7 How do we protect our children. 1. Value your children. # Psalms 128:3 2. Protect them because they are damagable. # Psalms 144:12 # Proverbs 22:15 * Protect them as they are corruptable. 3. Protect them from social abuse. 4. From evil associations. 5. Protect children from wrong friends. * Dont neglect your children. 6. Protect our children from spiritual forces. 7. Protect them from wrong attitudes. How do we protect our children. 1. Be involved in their lives. 2. By discernment. @ By being spiritually aware of your children. 3. By communication. @ Learn to talk to your children. Be firm and yet loving. Dont call them names. 4. Be an example. @ Model good behaviour. 5. By instruction. 6. By restriction. 7. By discipline. 8. By replacement. Take them to places that have clean fun. 3. Get into their box/ their space. * Learn to play with your children and get into their world. 4. Love your children. * Give them space to develop. # Mark 10:13-14 * Heaven is full of children, so if your dont love children, you will hate heaven. # Matthew 18:1-4 @ Jesus uses children as an example of what the kingdom of heaven is all about. @ Its difficult to understand when people dont love children. What we learn from children. 1. Children are humble. 2. Children are easily pleased. 3. They are trusting. * They have a capacity to believe. 4. They easily let go of an offense. 5. They are honest about their reality. 6. They have a heart for God. # Matthew 21:1-9,15 * Children have an openness towards God and the things of God. * Children have this great capacity for God. 7. Children have a spirituality for God. # Romance 7:9 * When you are born, you are born with a spirit of innocence, even when you are not born again. Before you reach the age (5 - 7 years) of accountability, you are spiritually alive. @ Your spirit can know things, that you dont know, thats why children can pick up things spiritually as they are spiritually alive. 8. They engage into their activities enthusiastically. 9. Children dont judge. They are born without racism or judgmental attitudes. 10. Children are visionaries. 11. Children are spirit beings, they are eternal. 12. They are teachable. 13. Jesus used children to teach humbleness. 14. Jesus loves children. 15. They are a gift from God. 16. They are innocent, thats why they are not successful liars. * As you grow, you burn your conscious, and learn to lie easily. 17. They are lovable. * God wants you to be lovable, by exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit in your life. 18. Children are our future. # Psalms 127:4-5 * If you treat them right, your reward will be great in heaven. # Matthew 18:1-6 * God takes it personally when you attack children, and He will defend them.
