First, a two-game suspension is not enough. If the last paragraph is true, then good! Second, I recognize that it takes two to tango, and (statistically) in most violent relationships, the violence comes from both parties, but to say this woman played a part in getting herself knocked out (as someone was quoted as having said)... I think I need to knock that person out. Because no matter how much she pushed him physically or mentally or emotionally, he should never have hauled off and clocked her. Just... never. Third, this woman asked the NFL to go easy on him and then she MARRIED HIM. WHAT THE HECK? Um... I have nothing on that. I understand that women often feel trapped in this sort of relationship. From my own personal experience and the experiences of people I know... I am astounded that this relationship continues to exist and Im not sure whether to feel sorry for her for feeling trapped or think shes stupid for sticking around or wonder if shes equally abusive. Im not trying to get anyones goat here. Im not even trying to judge these people. Im just feeling quite strong, quite mixed feelings about this situation. Suffice to say that this is even an issue we have to discuss is disgusting.
