First and most importantly, this game will be taking place on - TopicsExpress

First and most importantly, this game will be taking place on Saturday at Oadby Town FC with a 5.30 KO. We also have three volunteers who will be officiating so it is very much game on. More than ever, it would be great to see people there so that we can make this event a success. I would like to thank everybody for their incredible support over the past 24 hours. It has been and continues to be incredibly frustrating but Im not losing sight of what we are trying to achieve despite the obstacles put in our way. Since starting the charity, we have always said that it will be run as professionally as possible and will have high standards. This includes accepting rules and regulations from organisations that we deal with. I was more than happy to follow the Rules & Regs set by Leics FA but when presented with them it was decided that it was an unrealistic timescale and we would therefore make the game unaffiliated ( which we can legally do) in order to ensure that the game went ahead. What I wasnt expecting was the total lack of professionalism, sensitivity, and inability to effectively communicate from the Leics FA. Fortunately a very kind supporter of ours has been able to mediate throughout today and the information that I have received is that the emails were miscommunicated and they had no intention of stopping the game and would like to help us . Sadly there has been no full and frank apology from them with regard to their conduct and inability to function outside the boundaries of a rulebook. I did wonder whether I had overreacted but several people had read the emails and agreed that it appeared they were doing there best to get the game cancelled. I wont name the person who has helped us but thank you so much for your time and assistance. My main reason for posting last night and asking people to share was because I wanted to counteract the damaging email sent by the Referee Development Officer on the instruction of the Leics FA. I think you could say that we have been successful with that as the post has reached 15,000 people and has also seen BBC East Midlands Today contacted me for an interview. I decided that I would decline the offer to do so. The reason being that I want to maintain high standards for Bodies charity. When we feature on their I want it to be about the positive things that we are achieving and the focus to be helping people and raising awareness of Organ Donation. We have developed some incredible relationships with businesses, organisations and most importantly our supporters and I dont want us to be associated with moaning or whinging although we would completely justified to do so. This doesnt however mean that I am not taking this further with the FA. Thank you for your immense support, I hope you understand the decisions I have taken and lets remember this is all about Bodie, Families in need and Herford Bucks smashing Oadby All Stars on Saturday
