First appointment....neck ultrasound. Steven gets abdominal CT scans, but they do not go high enough to reach his neck. The only lymph node involvement he has ever had is with one supraclavicular lymph node. In addition to the abdominal CT scan they do the neck ultrasound to keep an eye on that one lymph node. That lymph node is how we originally found out Steve had melanoma. To date he is still classified as stage IV with no known primary....meaning they have never found a melanoma on his skin.
