First attempt at a bear head. In between necessary fall yard work, voting, and other time consuming projects I was able to start a fire and spend some time working on the first bear. I started with a piece of stock which was more rectangle than square, I should have squared it up and made sure the corner edges were sharp. Not doing this caused problems with the ears. The initial angles need to be cut at a sharper angle or the snout will draw out to far. Didnt cut the fullers deep enough for the jowls, lacked material to move in a later step. Nose and the mouth will need better detail work. Not bad for the first one, but more tweaking is needed.
