First came the unexpected generous donation to Furniture Bank…then came the unexpected large request less than 24 hours later! Tonight Miss Tami worked with the owner Best Deal Furniture on Baseline Road in Tempe to purchase brand new beds for a grandmother with very limited means and a huge heart who opened her small home to accommodate the needs of her 5 grand kids who need a safe and secure home. Grandma cried tears of joy as we shared this blessing with her of the new beds and other items that Miss Tami is scrambling to procure and find. The Furniture Store Owner gifted us with free delivery and set up as well as deeply discounting the price. She was referred to us and her grand kids have been sleeping on the floor since moving in with her and her daughter and other grandchild. THIS is what Furniture Bank is about!
