First camping trip of the year is to the North Shore to hike up Eagle Mountain – a voted in request from the Scouts. This is your chance to start your collection of top peaks in each state (see HighPointers or PeakBagger)! Please sign-up and pay $30 online before our troop meeting on Monday, September 16th. https://wepay/events/eagle-mountain-superior-hiking-trail-camp-out-2013 This is also a great chance for parents to participate (no-charge) in a scouting activity, so consider signing-up or send me an email with questions. At a minimum, we’ll need enough drivers to make the trip. More details to follow, but current plan is to depart at 5 PM on Friday, September 20th and return on Sunday, September 22nd in early afternoon. We’ll be camping at Moose Lake State Park Friday night and continuing the drive to Eagle Mountain (near Canada!) on Saturday for a 4-5 hour moderately rugged round trip hike up to the peak and back.
