First cookies of the season: Cinnamon horns- small mistake- had some premixed cinnamon sugar, but when I sprinkled it on, turned out it must have been from Ganeshas Treats, and had sesame seeds in. Not bad though- Ill have to try them again with MORE sesame seeds. Next batch: candy cane cookies. Next mistake- grabbed the Root beer extract not the Red food coloring. (there was a price sticker over the title, all I saw was R and it was the right shaped bottle): why is the color brown not red? Hmmm. So now I have half a batch of mint/root beer cookies. Not bad, but thats two for two. I need to pay more attention while baking.
