First day of December: surprise! 60F and rain. No frost. A peaceful day. Michael ran errands and baked a lovely dinner, and now wants to do low sugar cookies - Yum. Our dear old friend (not age old, but friend of 30+ years for me) came by to visit this evening! Dont see him often. Was Best Man at our Wedding, lives in an adjoining town. Really good to have such a blessing. I am weary, hoping for a quiet night, some rest and a good week next week for us both. I wish you all the peace of a quiet nights sleep, a pleasant week ahead after the frenzies of last week and all the footbal games. And then, the countdown towards the Magic of the First Day of Winter, and Christmas. A lovely time of year, and we have three weeks to spend thinking and meditating on what this time of year means to us all, and how to make one someone smile, one someone warmer, provide a meal for Food Banks. Time to dream.
