First day success! A long day which began at 4 AM for me so I could get to class and do things to make up for not being able to get into the building this weekend, but meh.... Made longer by my jumping in after my duty to help at the office with the insanity that is 22 buses picking up from Winston in the afternoon! Lots of phone incoming phone calls to sort out student whereabouts soothing worried parents.... I was even able to employ my little bit of Spanish when no other translator was available......that sort of thing.... But I enjoyed helping in this way since I can.... =) All home safe and accounted for! And a hearty thank you and compliments from my ADM for jumping and taking on what I could to help. In my classroom, my first day of all Art was a success! It was great to meet all of those sweet kids eager to learn and receptive to my style right off the bat! They looked amazing in their uniforms. Also, it seems that many of the teachers these students have had also have done some WBT along the way and they settled right in to the flow of things. Joanna Zammito- thanks for getting me hooked on Biffle! I know that I will be missing my Music life this year, but make NO mistake..... we will be learning through music even though it is Art using WBT and Orff methods as well! Cuz thats how I roll! Thanks for everyones support!
