First impressions of Ho Chi Minh City: Get here totally blown out from jet lag, sleep most of the day. Wake up at 6 and decide to stroll, Im staying in District 3(so in th very hectically populated parts) Walk walk, people are curious about me, some even ecstatic to see me, big smiles and some passing hellos Walk past a store and I hear Hello, hey, hey man In an american accent. Meet a young American/Vietnamese guy (lives in the U.S, he is visiting family) who welcomes me into the store that his father owns and runs, father, uncle, cousins are there. So much beer and food, laughing and chatting... eating of developed chicken embryos in the egg (h8ters come at me). Then we motorbike across the city to see a DJ in a coffee house... which is like a club with super club music but just for coffee and tea... with a buzzillion uber hot Vietnamese girls who come and chat to you (or... at least try ... me no vietnamese). Not even in a give me money, buy me drinks sort of way... just... hello... super chilled. Strange but super epic with heavy doses of Serendipity. Ho CHi Minh is best vibes from strangers Ive experienced yet.
