First let me say “As a home owner in Baldwin, I’m embarrassed that the other homeowners are willing to put our kids’ safety in jeopardy just to save a few buck a month” Why You Ask? Because just left the Baldwin School District Transportation Dept. WTF! I was just told that my son, who live with his mother and goes to Meadow Elementary School in Baldwin, is not getting a bus because he’s less the 2 Miles (1.7 Miles) from the School. Huh? No Negative letter went out letting parents know that there kids is not getting a bus! Since I also live in Baldwin, I can drop him off at school in the Morning before I go to work but his Mother can’t pick him up because she does not drive due to her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affecting her legs and she’s relying on a walker just to get around the apartment so walking 3 ½ miles round trip is not possible. Plus having Elementary Kids walk 2 Mile to and from School every day is Crazy and What about the lower income family’s with No Car, Forcing them to take a Cab twice a day ($7.50 one way) is totally unfair!
