First let me say God is good !!!! We finally got some answers and even though we are not done yet, things are looking up. Tommys heart is out of rhythm. The doctors were going to try and work on that problem with medication before we went to a procedure called a heart ablation. Increasing the dosage on some of his medicines caused a lot of things to get out of whack ... some were serious. The extra medicine also caused compromise to his kidneys so not only did he have to fight hearts issues, it turned into kidney issues. Today the did a heart catherization and the good news is .... there are no new blockages, the stents from before are still open, and there is no worsening in the heart damage. The down side is that his heart is still out of rhythm and just shocking it back will not work so they will look at the medicines again, try to figure some dosages that will not harm the rest of his body. If the medicine does not work, there is always the ablation but it will have to been in Chapel Hill and most of you know he is a Duke fan. We appreciate the prayers, calls, cards, FB messages, etc. We both love you all. Lift up those prayers for the medicine to do the trick. God is in control so keep lifting him up
