First of all HAPPY DHANTERAS to you all ! :) Diwali celebrations have begun and we already have liberals and pseudo-seculars advising us to have a green crackerless Diwali and a peaceful one. Their defense being? Crackers cause pollution and pollution affects the environment. Ironically, these same crackers turn eco- friendly during New Year celebrations. These people are the ones who burst crackers after winning an election jinka agar bas chale toh bolenge ki Dussehra par Raavan ke 5 sar hi jalao..baaki 5 rehne do. It causes pollution. Well, where is the environmentalist in you all year round? :D Saal bhar air conditioned rooms mein baithkar ozone layer ki maa behen karne walo ke muh se aisi nasihat achi nahi lagti. Use public transport, dont smoke cigarettes, dont waste water at home. That itself will save more resources than you can imagine. How does a 2 hour celebration of a festival harm anyone then? And interestingly all these retards wake up during Hindu festivals. > Holi pe ~ yaar rang mat lagao..saadgi se manao. > Diwali pe ~ Patakhe aur zyada kharche chhodo. Simple Diwali manao. To these people I suggest yaar aap Cycle chalao. Bina pedal ke. Ya even better Hawa khao, Khana nahi. :D Diwali is a festival where thousands of small businesses flourish feeding the stomachs of a million people. It stabilises the economy, provides employment to small time dukandaars and brings in fluidity in the economy. It creates an atmosphere of positivity and bonhomie and we are supposed to shut it? :/ I dont burst crackers myself but I use the money in other ways which gives me satisfaction.- Thats my choice. I dont go about suggesting people how to celebrate. Just imagine!! the rate at which festival celebrations are being minimalised..the days not far when celebrations will be restricted to wishing each other on whatsapp and telling your children tales of your past Diwalis and Holis. So go out there..celebrate your happiness. ^_^ Dil khol ke aish karo kyunki Saal mein ek baar banta hai Boss! \m/ :D
