First of all, Happy New Year. For today, most of the steady freezing rain that will accumulate on trees etc. will be in north Texas and southern Oklahoma. Most of the freezing rain will end by late this afternoon or early evening. On Friday, temperatures will warm, but may remain at or just below freezing north and west of I-44. If this happens, part of western north Texas and southwest Oklahoma may see significant ice accumulations, as more rain is expected. As the storm system finally moves east late Friday into Saturday, part of northwest Oklahoma may see a decent amount of snow. Bottom line, stay safe and weather aware.
