First of all, I HAVE to thank every one of you SO MUCH who celebrated Hot August Nights and gave ALL the unique businesses of downtown Hammond (Mariners, The Crescent, Bradys, Hookd Up, Your Moms, Cate St Pub, and many others!!!) such a special night last night! We are so blessed to have such amazing customers.....I love how eclectic our crowd is! We have been so warmly welcomed by the beautiful city of Hammond. Thank you!!! Secondly, we have received several just want to let you know texts and calls this morning about a very important guest who went to have lunch at Hookd Up Hammond today and was given service that was, not only unacceptable by our standards, but completely the opposite of everything Hookd Up strives to be. I dont know this person so, obviously, we are not FB friends, however, he had lots to say about the lack of service he had in our restaurant. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a server by nature......I am never ok with ANYONE (staff, customer, friend or family) being treated anything less than important. I guess in my life I have had more privileges than most of knowing and spending time with (what society) considers important people. Im also privileged enough to have humble parents who taught me humility and the value of EVERYONE......no one is more or less than anyone. I hope that everyone who does see his post and has ever been to Hookd Up can forgive us for dropping the ball and assure this gentleman and others that service like that is NOT the norm for Hookd Up. I also hope that we get a second chance to show him how great we can be! Also, just remember, no matter how hard we all try to be on all of the time, we are human and fall short sometimes......before blasting someone on FB or any public stage, give them a second chance to make a first impression. Grace is one of the most amazing gifts God gives to us and allows us to give to others. Have a blessed day!!!
