First of all I think I should rename the blog Small Pony,Big Dreams, even Bigger Attitude! This week I have been rather quiet on here, not because I havent had much to post about...far from it, I just didnt want to jinx anything, Bog has been feeling completely amazing- such rideable forwards paces, really over her back, swinging and gaining that extra bit of travel in the lateral work. So with this I decided to head to our first party since January! So today I have had one very excitable and happy 12.2hh pony on my hands, yesterday she was clipped and bathed all ready for medium 73 today. She warmed up really well, and we met some truly lovely people who were so complementary of my little Bog po! The test made both me and my mum chuckle as she went round with the biggest smirk ever, which didnt disappear when she decided to go into reverse when we were meant to be going into canter from walk, or when we were doing simple changes and she decided to take off with me! Either way I feel the test sheet was completely and utterly bang on accurate, in the 10m circle to the right she went quarters in on the first half and then drifted left in the second. But most of all we had definite extension in the trot, still a bit on the rushed side but progress especially as we kept it for the full 60m (it did make me laugh as the suggested time for the test is 6mins but it takes us 7!!) the medium canter had definite gogogo, we didnt break from canter going into 10m circles or down the centre line and the shoulder ins were so much more consistent. After the test I took her to ride some more simple changes- not once did she think of doing anything wrong, so I think I can put I down the ring nerves, as before I went in I do recall saying I think I feel more ill than before I picked up my exam results! But at the end of the day with 57.something% and positive comments I am more than happy, and Bog definitely is! I think the 60% is still in there, after all however many months ago I would be chuffed to bits with the test I rode and would come out with a 57% mark so to get that with the odd bit of free styling Im pretty chuffed. Ive attached some piccies, but I apologise for the quality due to camera not liking the lights, but not helped by the fact that my mum was shaking with nerves!! A massive thank you to Equestrian Originals for our HKM saddlepad and bandages, Eskadron rug and my gorgeous show shirt. Fur Feather Meds LTD for my Euro star breeches, Eskardon head collar and suuuuper sparkly boots and last but no means least Bexs Browbands and Collars for my brilliant browband and stockpin!
