First of all, I want to say thank you to everyones participation to make this one of the biggest benefit tournaments in Texas this year. I know the Shuffield family is overwhelmed with the support shown. I know Kevin Karlicek and myself are honored to be able to do this for our friend and colleague Chris Sheffield. With that being said, I would like to lay out a few rules and general information that will be in effect at the tournament to assure that this tournament is operated as smoothly and efficiently as possible. - Tournament Directors are Tyler Morris and Kevin Karlicek. - Chief Umpire will be Ronnie Caffey. - 5 fields will be in operation - Brackets will be Random Draw. - Managers will be given a check in time depending on the time you are drawn to play. At that time your team entry fee and roster will be due. - Umpires will be USSSA Certified. No umpires will be playing as players in the tournament. - softballs will be provided for all games. We will be using classic M softballs. They will be stamped and controlled by the Umpires. -12 Player Roster Maximum. Rosters will be turned in for your team at your designated check in time. - 10 People on the Field, 7 Guys/ 3 Girls. You can bat your roster of 12. - Batting guy/girl/guy/girl at the top of the lineup until all of your girls are completed. - 50 min games or 6 innings. - Plate and mat are a strike at the correct arch. - HALO rule in effect. -Run Rule in effect. 20 after 2, 10 after 4. -No Homerun limit with HR bracelet. - Homeruns will be $5 cash at the plate or it is an out if you do not have HR Bracelet. - USSSA stamped bats will used. - Umpires have the final judgement call on the field. Period. Please respect that. I will be emailing you all as well as positing the bracket and check in times on the benefit Facebook page. I want this to be one of the funnest tournaments for everyone. Just please remember why we are there in the first place.. To have fun, play ball, and show support for Chris battle with Cancer. Thank you all so much for taking this day out of your schedule to make this possible. I look forward to meeting you all on June 7th. Also, just remember.. Bring your families.. We will have bounce houses, multiple raffles, concessions, multiple fire trucks, ambulances, and helicopters on display for entertainment. There are playgrounds for the kids at the park as well. Thank you all! Tyler Morris 817-487-1098 Kevin Karlicek 254-205-7937 Fighting for Chris!
