First of all, I want to thank each and everyone here on FB for their concerns and well wishes. There were hundreds of comments on my 2 Facebook pages. I was surprised and happy to see so many friends, fans and fellow drummers expressing their good wishes and thoughts of concern. Of course, it made for some good hospital reading and helped me kill time. Im out of the hospital now and home free! No cutting on me! Yay!!! But, Im full of anti-biotics and anti-inflammatories, and I have prescriptions for 3 more over the next 10 days. I can only hope the Cellulitis isnt going to be a re-occurring thing (but judging from a similar bacteria infection that I had before) it seems likely. Keeping my fingers crossed. Btw, I was born with weird knees that I inherited from my dad (my brother Ron has my moms knees). Both of mine have a bump located in the Infrapatter Bursa region (a couple inches down from my knee caps; see picture --> https://scontent-b-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/t1.0-9/10300434_729777060376333_7795275428465882634_n.jpg). That’s where the initial pain started on my left knee. The intravenous antibiotics and anti-inflammatories in the hospital took care of the swelling and pain of the Cellulitis but the bump on my left knee developed into Infrapatellar Bursitis, so now it looks even more strange. Cant do nothing about that but who cares - at least Im home and feeling better!
