First of all... Im so proud of my students at State this week! Wee had the task of running the tally room and it was a big job. The students had to run all over downtown tampa picking up forms and tabulating scores and filing sheets for the entire state! They were professional and hard working and made the task easy with their positive attitudes! On top of that, we had many performances of our own: Our one act play Brooklyn received a SUPERIOR rating! Our five Individual Events received SUPERIOR ratings: Jenny Totcky in solo musical Sydney Weldon in monologue Our Large Group Musical IN our Small Group Musical DONT SAY ME Madison Daley in solo musical In addition, two of our performances were chosen for Critics Choice! Having one critics choice at state is remarkable, but to have two... Wow! Finally, Abby Daner received one of five scholarships given out at our state festival. She is very honored to be the recipient of the Daron Hawkins scholarship for musical theatre. I am one proud and grateful drama mama. And just when you thought it couldnt get any better...when I changed their curfew to an hour earlier last night, there were no complaints!
