First of all congratulations to the American riders who did so - TopicsExpress

First of all congratulations to the American riders who did so well in Verden. Steffen won the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special. Adrienne Lyle was 4th in both and Kathleen Raine was 7th in the Grand Prix. Very well done in good competition. On to the WEG. I had a very busy, but fun and rewarding weekend. I was back in Moorpark showing three horses. This time at Spirit Equestrian Center. It was a very low key and relaxed show, but as always a good group of competitors. Hilda was there as always, coaching all day instead of riding, Markus Gribbe (former coach of the Canadian Team) coached from another corner, Sabine Schutt Kerry was there riding beautifully as always, fellow judge Rene Johnson did well in the GP. Jan Ebeling stopped in to coach someone and then warmed me up for one of my rides. Great to see him, but sorry he is not still in Europe. I just love the camaraderie we have at our shows. Makes it so much more fun. My mare Chanel won the PSG both days with 68 and 70%. She is still a little anxious in the ring, but this was only her second time PSG and she is an over achiever. Rivendall, who I have in partnership with Robin DeShayes was the most relaxed at a show yet and won both his third level classes and second in his 4th,3 class with scores from 69-72%. Westpoint had some of his usual separation issues and was talking to his friends in the barn throughout my PSG test, but still got 65%. He was much better in the Int.1 and won that with a 68%. In between my rides I went down the road to teach at another facility, so it was a very full weekend. Thanks to Sheridan Kenny for taking such good care of my high maintenance kids and being great company on the road.
