First of all just let me say this is an emotional post for me. As many of you know I have been on a lifestyle change this year. I have had people ask me if I was sick and the answer is no. I have lost a lot of weight this year a total of 80 pounds now from my highest weight. Yesterday I went into Dress Barn one of the only stores I could ever shop in along with Lane Bryant. I tried on the sweater that was the last size that I wore only to have the woman tell me honey you need to shop on the other side. That was the most exciting words I have Heard this year. I have worked very hard on losing the weight and finally be able to shop in regular sizes is a major victory for me. I went to JCPenney and Sears and as I was walking through the mall I was very emotional because I saw all the new stores that I would be able to shop it now. When you are a plus size you are very limited on where you can shop. To be able to go into a regular store and find regular sizes and be able to purchase those sizes is an amazing feeling after all my hard work. I want to thank all those that have supported me and encouraged me over this past year. It has been an incredible journey and an incredible lifestyle change. Since I was 17 and started to put on weight so men wouldnt find me attractive because of things I had gone through and now that Im 53and all the battles that I have fought to lose weight I have finally won, my goal this year was to lose close to 100 pounds I still have five weeks and Im going to work my butt off to get as close to it as I can. This was a New Years resolution for me and for the first time in my whole life Ive kept a New Years resolution.I have gone from a size 22/24 plus size down to a large size in regular clothes oh happy day. I want to encourage those that struggle if I can do it you can do it its a matter of changing what you put into your body. I have focused on proteins vegetables and fruits and the pounds have melted away along with 83 inches off my body. This has been an incredible journey and I give God all the glory all the praise for helping me with what Ive lost thank you for your support pictures will be posted later!
