First of all let me apologise for the lateness of the following minutes. MINUTES OF TANNERS GATE RESIDENTS ASOCIATION 24/07/2013 APOLGIES Nikki Noice-Smith Park Gate Police Councillor Sarah Pankhurst ATTENDING Kenneth Dickens Helen Dickens Laura Bolton Gemma Knapp Emma Frampton Orley Louise Macfarlane Jacqueline Rolls (Aplogies for any one I have missed as the attendance register was mis-placed) POLICE MATTERS – No police updates and non attendance NEIGHBOURHOOD UPDATES - The Salt bin is now in place and hopefully the notice board will follow soon. There is a problem with fly’s currently, due to the warmer weather, please ensure bin lids are fully closed to prevent flies The speed limit on the development is set to 5mph, please ensure this is adhered to as children are out and about playing especially over the holiday period There seems to be an ongoing problem with dog mess both on the paths around the development and in the children’s play park. Every owner by law is required to pick up after their dog. COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES Litter pick over the school holidays Play rangers will be visiting on the 25th July, 16th august and the 27th august in the children’s play park on tanners gate. 11-17 years old activities will be available on the cricket on Tuesday 13th august 11-3. Leaflets will be handed out to residents. ANY OTHER BUISNESS Still waiting to hear from Highwoods about the drains, Laura is dealing with this. Its been noticed that the gardeners are leaving piles of grass which are blowing around the estate, Some trees and plants are going to be replaced as they have died Walkabouts to begin again as there is a problem with weeds growing in sheds etc - the current walkabout resident representative has resigned - any takers? There have been several complaints of bad language being used please be considerate to your neighbours and close your doors and windows- letter to be sent to residents There are a lot of cats on the development, and cat mess is becoming a problem and many residents are finding their gardens contaminated. We understand this is hard to police but could cat owners be aware that this is upsetting other residents. Inconsiderate and dangerous parking is a problem, there are enough car parks for all residents, but still people are choosing to park on the kerbs and corners around Tanners Gate. This has to stop! its dangerous for other car drivers and for the children that may be playing. Please use the car parks that are provided.
