First of all, let me start this rant with: I really like this song. Its catchy and I like MOST of the message it sends. But the problem with any sort of body promotion like this is, someone gets ostracized. Having gotten hateful looks from all sorts of girls, Im here to set the record straight. Boys like girls. Pretty much any girl they can get. Ive seen HOT guys with girls that arent traditionally beautiful. It happens! So why say one body size is preferable to any other? Honestly, Im not 100% comfortable with my body. I would like to make little changes here and there; who doesnt?! But being called a skinny B*tch by pop culture or being made fun of by one crowd for obviously being anorexic and then to have people/media in your other ear saying youre so lucky that youre thin [because that makes you beautiful] really sends a confusing message. Why does body image have to exist? It shouldnt be curvy girls vs. skinny girls. Put in the work to get the body that youre proud of. Whether that be working out, eating healthy, dressing better, heck, even plastic surgery (Im not one to judge). Just be happy. The world has enough sadness and hate in it already.
