First of all, what terrific, positive, appreciative people visit this site. I think we should all move in together. (Although where would we ever find a refrigerator big enough????) I say this because of those of you who posted today to speak of the beauties of winter. As I write this, the sky has pinkened at the horizon, and the black branches of trees are standing out against the dimming light. The snow is almost glowing. Lights are beginning to come on in the neighborhood. I have a big pot of chicken soup on the stove and just the smell of it is therapeutic. This afternoon I bought new flannel sheets. Alll of which is to say I am so very comfortable and grateful that I am. And I want to revise my earlier statement. I dont hate winter. I hate being cold. And even then, I can tolerate a bit of it so long as I know I can come inside quickly and feel warmth settle around me like a Kings mantle. Thank you for reminding me that its never the thing; rather, its the way you look at it.
