First off Im a die hard Honda fan and love Japanese cars, but possibly my #1 pet peeve in the Japanese car tuner community is this hella JDM yo!, (fill in the blank) as F#*& mentality and lack of knowing what your beloved Wakaba and Kareha symbols all you JDM fanboys so proudly display actually mean in Japan in regards to the skill level of a driver... The yellow and green Wakaba (“young leaf”), Is for new inexperienced drivers and required to be displayed during the first year a driver is incensed. On the other end of the spectrum is the yellow and orange Kareha (“dried leaves”) symbol which denotes an elderly driver. So basically the function of these symbols is to warn other drivers that the driver is inexperienced or elderly and to exercise a degree of caution around them. Ironically when I see these symbols displayed here in the United States it also warns me to keep a safe distance from that guy/girl as well, cause more than likely halfway into a conversation I am going to want to hit them. End rant.
