First off: Let me tell you all how much I appreciate each and every one of you for supporting me with the text messages, prayers and hugs. I was really nervous earlier today; but as with all things, God is good and I am in very good hands. I went in for my preventive health screening and blood work only to find that I have a severe case of anemia. It is so bad, they are considering hospitalization if we dont get things under control right away - by right away, they mean within the next 48 hours as my hemoglobin continues to drop daily and has been for quite some time. My doctors are amazing and have referred me to a specialist because I have the worst veins in the city and they felt it was best to take the right course of action from the get go. On Thursday morning I will get my first IV infusion and by Friday night, should start feeling like a new woman. Woohoo! As all of you know me personally, I usually go about 90mph all day every day - the specialist told Liz to watch out, Im about to take the world by storm because this will make a huge difference. I Cant WAIT!! Again - thank you all so much. You mean the world to me and I am definitely blessed to have you in my life. Super thank you to my daughter and co-workers for forcing me to go today and suck it up. I feel much better after I was able to sit with the specialist and talk about the unknown.
