First off, this board is full of feels and I think everyone can agree that the person who this ball rolling is a extraordinary person, and that the people who contributed a hand in the aid are amazing. Thumbs up for yall for making such a lasting effort to our city! Although news media outlets are the primary outlets of spreading messages throughout a population, this peer-to-peer board consisting of hospitable offers and humble requests that directly impact the current Atlantians is quite an interesting topic of discussion, especially after the storm dies out. I believe that the information retained on this board, along with information regarding this board, could potentially benefit future emergency service application, crowd psychology, and many other academic possibilities for future reference. This board can be viewed as a kind of a open ended emergency center thats decentralized, more or less. According to many mentions of govt services unable to reach stranded people, I hypothesize that this board supplements emergency services indirectly by giving the public an opportunity to dispatch themselves to help others where possible. It is anticipated that some views may say the board stepped up where govt services have failed or unable to go beyond their reach. Any viewpoint is fine, but I ask that we all respect each others opinions when commenting. Im trying to discover and research the defining aspects and the logistics of this impromptu and unique emergency system, especially in light of rapid technology differences from past disasters to now. So as an open study and survey, I have a few questions to ask this community of about 50k people. Many of the questions pertain to community interactions and culture.
