First off, this is NOT a gun issue, plain and simple it is an issue where cities in Pennsylvania think they are above the law. PA has had preemption since 1974. In a nutshell that means no municipality or city can create ANY gun law that is stricter than state law and theres a good reason for that. Imagine if every town could create their own legal limit for driving while intoxicated. You could legal in the town you drink at but while driving home through other towns you could be found to be intoxicated and arrested. If every town is allowed to create their own laws (as Philly, Lancaster and Pittsburgh feel they can) citizens are faced with a patchwork of laws they need to know about. That is utter nonsense. If a citizen breaks state laws the towns or cities would be there in a second to arrest them but when a city breaks state law theres no consequence? Baloney!
