First off what Im about to say isnt just FB drama, Im posting this to be transparent, open and honest and quite frankly Im sick and tired of being looked and talked down upon because of my choice to support the people I love. YES my boyfriend suffers from addiction, its NOT a secret and YES he takes medication as part of his treatment. But Ill be damned if anyone thinks poorly of him or myself because of his addiction and the side affects of medication. Addiction is a VERY SERIOUS DISEASE. It doesnt make you a bad person and it certainly doesnt discriminate. It could happen to you, your husband, wife, child, brother, sister etc. So before judging someone and saying or thinking negatively toward them, please try to understand that its a struggle in itself to suffer from addiction and it makes it 10 times worse to constantly be judged and reminded of the negative stigma attached to the disease. Lastly~Dont judge and point fingers when yours have been covered in mud. Once youre an addict youll always be an addict, so before talking bad about someone else just remember what life was like for yourself.
