First off – we will have live shrimp tomorrow. Now for the fishing. Capt. Jack fished for a couple of hours this morning with his buddy Ricky. They caught 21 Speckled Trout fishing under the birds in Black Bay. Every cast they caught a fish, but only 21 were keepers. Capt. Jack said shrimp were jumping under the birds, and there lots of birds to fish under. Like I said Jack only fished for a couple of hours, but the launch was pretty busy so we have some word of mouth info on today’s fishing from other anglers. They guys who stayed in the interior marsh caught good amounts of Redfish and Drum, some did well with artificial bait, most were using live shrimp. Anglers who hit Black Bay for Trout did pretty well. One father and son had their limit of big Trout. A lot of other did really well and most of the Trout were a really nice size. So it seems like the fishing is improving. The water is looking really nice in Black Bay with some areas having as much as 5 foot visibility. We would love to see you here at Sweetwater where customer service is our No. 1 priority. And remember, we are the second launch.
