First podium place of the season in GP Marseillaise for Thomas Damuseau Yesterday was the GP Marseillaise the opener of the European Season. The race of 148 km was the first race for Team Argos-Shimano riders: Warren Barguil, Tobias Ludvigsson, Thomas Peterson, Georg Preidler, Matthieu Sprick, Thomas Damuseau and François Parisien. It was an animated race with a very tough final. The peloton exploded when Vacansoleil-DCM put a lot of pressure on the final climb 10km before the finish. It was a crash-marred final with a big crash 1.5km before the finish caused by a policeman who felt off his motor bike. Francois Parisien was involved, but apart from missing some skin, he feels ok. At the end it was Justin Jules (La pimme Marseille) who took the win before Samual Dumoulin (AG2R La Mondiale) and Thomas Damuseau. Warren Barguil who came 8th and Tobias Ludvigsson were also present in the first group. "Before the race I was very nervous. You are always very curious how your form is compared with the other guys of the peloton. I felt good and together with Warren Barguil and Thomas Damuseau we managed to stay in the first group. At the end we worked for Thomas Damuseau to get a good result" said Tobias Ludviggson.
