First post from EW Medical Team 2013: Hi from the Medical Team at Eagles Wings Zambia Apologies that it has taken us so long to let you know of our doings. After a week here we have finally got internet access! And it has not been from lack of talent here - just everything done in Zambian time! We start our day by walking a 15 -20 minute walk from our compound at MMM on the outskirts of Ndola to Eagles Wings school where we start our clinic at 8am. The day goes so quickly as we are kept busy seeing the local people both young and old. Although busy the day is extremely rewarding. Our team is so well linked together and we are enjoying bouncing ideas off each other and asking advice from one another. Our debriefs in the evening usually involve some talk of clinic, and many tangents and laughs, power outages and head torches. Oh, and many cups of teas of course. The “Eet-sum-mor” biscuits always go down well with the cuppa. How lovely it is to sit and chat around the table instead of watching the idiot box. We are tired but happy as we head to showers (sometimes hot, sometime not!) and then to bed. By Ruth
