First post of 2015!! Better make it an educational one hey ;) It is true, I had the privilege of seeing a copy of the below book in the Vatican during my visit. Beautifully encrusted with stolen jewels and gold it was. And, although absolutely against astrology, as the Church is, the Vatican is bathed in astrological symbolism in its artworks, sculptures and even decor. In fact anything about anything in there, has astrological connotations. As an example I saw a solid golden Globe on a pedestal a good 6 foot high, not with continents though as one would expect, but with zodiacal constellations and meridians marked out. No explanations were given about this item... What I found most astonishing during my visit was the War room. An intensely long corridor with intricately detailed painted maps of European and Asian regions all along its length. Clearly used during the Roman conquering of Europe and still in tact. In the Vatican... I find it astonishingly amazing that so many people dont see the nonsense of it and just continue going to Church and not questioning their vicar about it! Id love it if I were a Church goer, Id have so much fun winding the Vicar up haha however, I think I love it more NOT being a Church goer lol
