First prize to an Iraqi architect and four honorary awards to four Iraqi architectures engineers, in a major international award for architects. Angela Brady RIBA has announced the results of the judging panel of Tamayouz Women in Architecture and Construction award, the panel that comprises of Angela Brady RIBA the Immediate Past President of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Professor Paul Ivey, the Dean of Engineering and Computing at Coventry University and Dr Khaled Al Sultany the Iraqi architect, academic and researcher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark. The judging panel selected Dr Jala Al Makhzoumi for her efforts and contribution to the profession of architecture and landscape in the community in Iraq. Also four women architects were chosen as honourable mentions for their contributions to different sectors, the honourable mentions are for: Huda Mohammed Ali.
