First review in Maximum Metal: Sectu are set to release their new album, Nefarious, on June 27th through ViciSolum Productions. Maximum Metal writer Chaoslord had this to say about the album: Sectus members are metal veterans having been in such acts as Soilwork, Evergrey, Chimera and Therion to name a few. Having been in existence since 2005, originally as Cimmerian Dome, the group is well established in the metal scene. The new album is the first featuring new drummer Richard Evensand from Soilwork and Chimera. Nefarious is full of blast beats, guttural growls and melodic guitar work with a healthy dose of heaviness. Tracks like Onset of Destruction and Tenebrous are sheer monsters that are enhanced by a solid and dark production. Nefarious is the epitome of death metal.
