First they brought the Interception of Communication Act, some said, Why should you worry if you are not a terrorist, the law is good it will help government fight terrorism, Then came the Public Order Management Act and we dismissed those who opposed it saying it was good to contain rioters and rid the city of Besigyes chaos, then came the famous Mini skirt law which we left to hooligans to implement by undressing women, then they came for the Kashas and the Pepes and we were all on cloud nine saying, at least at last someone was standing up for African values and culture, the rest of you can drown in the deepest pond trying to please the West. Now I am waiting anxiously and I truly want the denial of bail law (a changed version of detention without trial) too passed because when these things start to bite no one can predict with any accuracy who the first victim will be. The two day caucus meeting at Entebbe State House on Monday and Tuesday are too exciting for us to read anything from them.
